How can Tutor Real help?
Tutor Real is a great tool for anyone needs help grasping an academic subject, preparing for a test or working through a piece of writing. Tutor Real allows you to work with a personal tutor face-to-face via video chat to answer all of your questions.
How does Tutor Real work?
To get matched up with a tutor, simply visit www.TutorReal.com and search for the subject you'd like help with. We'll find an expert tutor who's currently online and ready to work with you within minutes. After approving the tutor, you'll be connected with him or her in an online video chat where you can work together for as long (or short) as you wish. When all of your questions have been answered, simply end the session, and you'll be charged for only the time you used (minimum of 5 minutes).
What do I need in order to use Tutor Real?
To work with a tutor on Tutor Real, you must have access to a computer with a webcam and have a valid credit card or debit card.
How do I sign up for Tutor Real?
To sign up for Tutor Real simply visit our homepage and search for the subject you need help with. While we find you a great tutor, you'll be able to enter you information and create an account.
Who can use Tutor Real?
Anyone ages 13 and up can sign up for Tutor Real.
What subjects can I get help with?
Tutor Real can help with all subjects from an elementary through college level. If there's a subject that you can't find in our search box, please let us know at support@TutorReal.com so we can add it.
How will I work with my tutor?
As soon as we find a great tutor to help you, we'll show you his or her information for approval. When you accept the tutor, you'll be connected with him or her via video chat. From there, you two are free to discuss anything you need help with.
Who are the tutors on Tutor Real?
All Tutor Real tutors are students at (or graduates of) top-25 universities. (See the list here.) Studies have shown that better educated individuals are more effective teachers, so we want to ensure that you're working with the best tutors out there. We also interview each of our tutors personally so we can guarantee that you'll be working with a great teacher.
Can I choose my own tutor?
Currently, there's no way for users to select a specific tutor, but we will show you information about your tutor before you are connected. If you'd like, you can request for us to find someone else. If being able to select your own tutor is important to you, please email us and let us know! We'd love any feedback at support@TutorReal.com.
What happens if I don't like my tutor?
While we are confident that you will have a great experience with your Tutor Real tutor, if you have any issues, you can report an issue directly from your video chat session, or let our team know after the fact at support@TutorReal.com. We'll do our best to follow up as soon as possible and refund the session as we see appropriate.
How much does Tutor Real cost?
Your first 10 minutes on Tutor Real are completely free. After that, working with a tutor only costs 50¢/minute. (As a courtesy to our tutors, there's a minimum session length of 5 minutes.)
How will I be charged for the time I work with a tutor?
When you sign up for an Tutor Real account, you'll be asked to enter your credit card information. After each session with a tutor, the duration of the session is logged and your card is charged accordingly. You'll receive a receipt for the transaction via email.
In what time increments will I be charged?
You will be charged 50¢ for every new minute that you work with a tutor. For example, working with a tutor for 7 minutes and 45 seconds would cost $4. (As a courtesy to our tutors, there's a minimum session length of 5 minutes.)
When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged within one week of any session with an Tutor Real tutor.
What information is required to sign up for Tutor Real?
